Tay Money

Taylor Watson[3] (born 6 April 1993), known professionally as Tay Money, is an American rapper, model, songwriter, producer and hair stylist. She started her career in 2017, and gained fame after the release of her single "Trappers Delight" in June 2018. She then released her debut EP, DUH!. Her debut album, Hurricane Tay was released in March 2019. In 2020, her single, "Bussin" became a viral sensation on the app TikTok[4] and reached #41 on the U.S. Viral 50 on February 9, 2020.

Early life

Tay was raised on a ranch in Athens, Texas. She was very athletic growing up and started playing softball at age three, as well as basketball in sixth grade. She even played softball for a year in college. She has a cosmetology license and did hair prior to becoming a rapper. She maintains her license because she enjoys doing hair.

Career

Money made her debut with the single "Lewis & Clark" in 2017, she later released the single "Na Na". [5]her breakthrough came with the 2018 single "Trapper’s Delight" which was released on WorldStarHipHop’s YouTube channel, The music video received over 1.2 million views in less than a month.[6] She released her debut EP, DUH!, on November of that year.[7]

in 2019, she released the singles "High School", "2k" , "Ride Around" and "IMAX".[8][9][10] In that same year, her debut album, Hurricane Tay, was released with 16 tracks and two features from DaBaby and YNW Melly. On March 2020, Money released her viral single "Bussin", Which has gained widespread attention in social media, especially on the video sharing platform TikTok.[11] In July 2020, Money released "Bussin"’s remix "Bussin 2.0," with rapper Saweetie.[12][13][14] On October 2, 2020, Money released the music video for "Circus" Directed by DrewFilmedIt. Money released her mixtape, Blockedt, on December 11 of that year.[15] it features Saweetie on the remix "Bussin 2.0" and Mulatto on "Brat" which was released on October.[16][17]

Tay Money has been in a relationship with business executive, videographer Cole Bennett since 2019.[19][20]
